What is a Physical Therapist?

Physical Therapists are trained in injury diagnosis, injury treatment, exercise prescription, injury prevention and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries.

What do I need to bring?

Be prepared to provide your previous medical or surgical history. If you have them and if they are relevant bring scan/MRI reports, and list of medication. You may wish to bring shorts and t-shirt.

How many visits will I need?

The number of treatments will vary depending on the problem and individual. After a thorough assessment, I will discuss your treatment plan and the rehabilitation process.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Please wear something comfortable. Depending on the nature/location of your injury, you may need to undress. Some treatments can be carried out through clothing, with clients draped with towels accordingly.

How do I make an appointment?

You can get in touch by phone (087 7548770) or send an email to info@CaherdavinPhysicalTherapy.com. Otherwise you can use the form under the Contact Us page.

Do I have to be referred by a doctor?

No, you do not need a referral. I can assess and treat without referral by a doctor. If necessary, I can liaise with your GP or Specialist with regard to your treatment and your progress.

Treatment duration depends on your diagnosis, the severity of your injury, your past medical history, and other factors.  Re-evaluations will be done to assess your progress on a regular basis and I will keep you informed on the likely recovery time.

A variety of musculoskeletal conditions can be treated - Hamstring Tears, Ankle Sprains, Groin Strains, Ligament Injuries, Back Pain, Tendonitis, Whiplash, Knee Pain, Neck Pain, Calf Tears, Shoulder Pain, Elbow Pain...to name a few.
